Like most women, I don't want to spend an arm and a leg EVERY time I need something new in my makeup bag. I'm always trying new cosmetic items whether they are high end or not. They could cost a couple hundred bucks or they could cost a whopping $1. I like to try everything so I can 1- be knowledgeable about whats on the market and 2- so I can continuously teach myself new techniques and how different formulas and textures work on the skin.
I was in a makeup bind one day and decided I'd stop by Target to get something for my eyebrows. I saw this darling Elf Cosmetics Brow Kit and an Elf angled liner brush and though "Heck, $6 total? Why not?" And now here you have it. My review on a cheaper find. The result? I LOVE IT.
This product comes with both a dark brown wax and a warmer under toned powder. They have different shades for your hair color and even though my hair is almost black, I chose the medium palette. Some people have complained that the powder in this palette turns their brows too golden or red. To fix that I recommend starting a soft application of the wax color first. Then apply a softer amount of the powder in the areas you need a little more definition or coverage. Lastly, apply the wax on top of the powder one more time. This will help seal in the powder and eliminate some of the warm red tone.
