Its not very often my heart skips a beat from a photo shoot. This however, gives me butterflies, makes my heart dance, and I smile from ear to ear. Today is a very exciting day for myself and those involved with this photo shoot. We've been sitting on these images for FOREVER and we couldn't be happier to be sharing them with you today.
I've done many avant garde makeup shoots with Michelle Herrick but this one is by far my favorite. We collaborated on this idea and while some things were completely planned out, its the happy-last minute surprises that really brought his photo shoot to life. This was one of the first photo shoots I worked on with Agency Arizona model Jihan. We started with classic beauty makeup and kept taking it up a notch as we went! We knew our theme was going to involved red, black, and gold. We also knew that I wanted to play with textures and placement. You guys, I am so in love with these images.
Whenever I collaborate on a project with photographers, stylists, models, videographers, etc... I always like to leave a little bit to chance. I'm always prepared, I always know what I'm executing, but if something doesn't go as planned.. I roll with it! Michelle did an amazing job with wardrobe/accessory styling this shoot. Whenever she and I work together we use our own collection of jewelry and craft supplies to create magic. And yes, in my eyes, this shoot is magic!
I'm so thankful I have so many talented people in my life who are on board with my crazy ideas.
